Elk rib bones are strong, flat, and slightly curved, making them excellent for scraping hides or carving wood. Smaller portions of rib bones were sometimes shaped into awls for leatherworking or holes in clothing. Also used in education, crafts, and ceremonies.
Measurement – 8″-16″ in length around the curve approximately.
