White Willow Bark

White Willow Bark, Salix Alba, comes from the Salicaceae plant family and is native to Europe, Central Asia, and Northern Africa.  The bark comes from the willow trees (white, black, pussy, crack, and purple) which contains the chemical called salicin that has anti-inflammatory effects.  Extracts of Salicin and antioxidant compounds are taken from the bark for medicines, supplements, and therapeutic actions to help treat chronic lower back pain, joint pain, osteoarthritis, and soreness due to physical training.
